HOW ARE TOURNAMENT FUNDS USED?

Golf is the one UIL sport for which the school does not provide practice facilities or travel expenses. The Golf Booster Club raises funds to cover team expenses.

Proceeds from the tournament will fund expenses such as equipment, tournament entry fees, travel, practice green fees and range balls.  Each team plays in 7 tournaments a year, in addition to the 2-day district tournament.

The CHHS Golf Team competes with 4 teams - Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, JV Boys & JV Girls. Each team plays in at least 7 tournaments a year. During the 2016-2017 school year, CHHS golf was highly competitive. The CHHS Varsity Boys team progressed all the way to the UIL Boys Regional Tournament in Lubbock Texas. The Varsity Girls team qualified for and competed in the UIL Girls State Championship for 5A schools. In order to maintain these teams, fundraising is essential.

We are VERY grateful to our sponsors and aim to give them good exposure for their support!

The fundraising tournament is our ONLY fundraiser for the year.
